The Post Industrial Living
Atmosphere and Agency
Supervisor - Mr. Tay Kheng Soon
What happens after the 4th Industrial Revolution? Being Human has never been more crucial in this age of automation. This Thesis explores the importance of architectural planning as a platform to humanised societies through the vibrant aesthetics where individuals are free to express their ideas, plenty of quality public spaces filled with activities to draw people out to the streets. The projected chaotic aesthetics of the private land plots would be balanced by the regularity of the civic spaces.
Ultimately the post-industrial life should be a celebration of both individualism and acceptance while denouncing architectural homogeneity that has been shaped by the successive industrial revolutions.
