The thesis embeds its focus within the duality of “machine episteme”, and “ludic explorations” in the synthesis of architecture.
Particularly, it looks into the proliferation of machinic landscape as an evincive context to explore the paradoxes of their perverse architectural constraints.
With the theme of wander/wonder in the essence of spatial flow, the project decoded the flow of the port, translated it and re-coded a new poly-functional interface along the port’s spine. The result is a vibrant port-city that is generated from the machine logic, where their very constraints can liberate the Oulipo potential of the architectural language, allowing the quest to elevate the agenda and scope of machinic landscapes.
