The thesis is interested in the technology of augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) and strongly believes its influence in restructuring the methods of constructing, viewing, and consuming space.
Propelled alongside the pillars of ëIndustry 4.0í such as the Internet of Things, machine learning, cloud computing, and advanced robotics, the work speculates a fictional future that employs AR, MR, sophiticated robotic drones, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to assemble and disassemble, and to deconstruct and reconstruct architecture.
As our experience of reality becomes ever more fluid and much less dependent on the built environment, the project proposes an idea of architecture that mediates the intersection between the physical and the virtual, through the process of worldbuilding, in a future where identities and realities are multiplied.
