Reservoir Atoll

Speculative Environments

Supervisor - Mr. Cheah Kok Ming

On the premise of the water trade agreement's eventual fallout between Singapore and Malaysia, Singapore finds itself in a dire situation where its national security is challenged by the sudden deficit of natural resources. This thesis challenges and pushes the conventional designs of water storage and water treatment. The Reservoir Atoll is set to be a public destination containing the most important of Singapore's resources, pushing the boundaries of the numerous possibilities of the commonly known 'reservoir'. Although this thesis presents this as one solution it is not a definite or conclusive answer, rather, it is one of many.
