In light of the recent en bloc craze of strata-titled developments in Singapore and the impending demolition of several iconic landmarks; such as Pearl Bank Apartments, People's Park Complex and Golden Mile Complex; this thesis explores the possibility of transferring the potential developments rights of iconic landmarks to their surroundings developments in order to finance for their conservation. This thesis also seeks to investigate the significance of these landmarks beyond their historic values and attempts to reinterpret their architectural elements in accordance to the city's current and future needs, thereby creating a coherent identity for the future developments surrounding them.
